On behalf of the Prime Minister, Dr. Sherif Farouk, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, inaugurated the Nebu Gold and Jewelry Exhibition 2024. This event, the largest annual gathering in Egypt's gold and jewelry industry, reflects Egypt's leadership and exceptional achievements in this sector on both regional and international levels.
During the official opening, details of the new edition of the exhibition were unveiled. Scheduled to run from December 15 to 17, 2024, at the Egypt International Exhibition Center, the event will feature 80 exhibitors, comprising 49 Egyptian brands and 31 international participants. Notably, dedicated pavilions for Turkey and Italy will be introduced for the first time, expanding the exhibition's international scope.
The exhibition will also
encompass a diverse array of programs and activities, most notably the
International Buyers Program, which will host 166 participants from 19
countries to foster trade cooperation and boost exports. Additionally, a
jewelry design competition that witness wide participation from Egypt and 13
other countries, and an art exhibition titled "Jewelry as a Reflection of
Egyptian Identity Through History - The Pharaonic Era" will be featured.
During the opening, the Minister
of Supply expressed his enthusiasm for hosting the Nebu 2024 exhibition. He
highlighted that this event exemplifies the successful collaboration between
the government and the private sector, reflecting Egypt's aspiration to become
a global center for the gold and jewelry industry. He further emphasized that
the exhibition underscores Egypt's rich historical legacy in this domain. He
stated that it presents a valuable opportunity to bolster domestic industries
and enhance their competitiveness within global markets.
The minister affirmed the Ministry of Supply's commitment to providing all necessary support to exhibitors and participants. This includes streamlining procedures and creating a conducive environment to maximize the event's benefits. He emphasized that the gold and jewelry sector constitutes a crucial economic pillar, contributing significantly to sustainable development and an increase in Egyptian exports.
