Joint Egypt-Saudi Arabia talks on energy collaboration

Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Engineer Karim Badawy, met with officials from the Saudi Al-Qahtani Group to explore potential avenues for cooperation and investment in the oil, gas, and petrochemicals sectors. This aligns with the Ministry's strategic objective of attracting substantial foreign investment to the petroleum sector.

The meeting, held at the Ministry's headquarters in the new administrative capital, focused on reviewing potential joint ventures and investment opportunities. These discussions centered around oil and gas development and production, particularly in light of the promising investment package recently launched by the Ministry on the "EUG" digital exploration and production portal.

The Minister of Petroleum expressed his welcome for Al-Qahtani Group's interest in partnering with the petroleum sector and investing in Egypt. He acknowledged the Group's keenness to explore investment opportunities and areas of potential cooperation, which was evidenced by the numerous joint working meetings held between the two parties recently.

The Minister emphasized the importance of expeditious action and collaborative efforts within the petroleum sector to facilitate investments and leverage the sector's significant investment opportunities and capabilities. He further stressed the need to explore avenues for expanding cooperation, building upon the resources and capabilities of both parties.
