Galala University, e& Egypt partner for telecom lab

Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement between Galala University and e& Egypt. The agreement aims to establish a wired and wireless telecommunications laboratory at the university.

Dr. Maher Mesbah, Secretary of the Board of Trustees of Private Universities, Dr. Adel El Adawy, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Galala University, and Engineer Hazem Muslim Metwally, CEO of e& Egypt, witnessed the signing of the agreement by Dr. Mohamed El Shenawy, President of Galala University, and Engineer Hossam El-Maadawy, CEO of the Institutional Sector at e& Egypt.

Dr. Ashour emphasized the importance of this agreement, which aligns with the principles of the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research by expanding cooperation with the business and industry sector. He noted that this collaboration contributes to providing a distinguished educational level and highlighted the success of private universities in supporting their infrastructure and enhancing their technical capabilities. This, in turn, provides distinct educational opportunities for students and ensures the provision of advanced study programs that meet the requirements of the local, regional, and international labor market.

The agreement aims to provide a distinguished educational level for students in the high-demand field of communications and information technology, which has seen a 40% increase in enrollment in the past year. It will contribute to preparing qualified personnel with advanced skills that meet the needs of the local, regional, and international labor markets, giving them better opportunities for excellence and creativity.

The Minister explained that this partnership between the university and the communications industry supports the principle of "innovation and creativity," a key tenet of the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research. The agreement will contribute to raising students' capabilities in digital technology and providing them with practical training opportunities, enhancing their chances in the labor market after graduation. It will also support cooperation in scientific research and enhance the university's academic reputation as an attractive educational institution.

e& Egypt will provide the necessary equipment and supplies to establish the laboratory, including the latest devices and equipment, as well as installation and setup services. Both parties are committed to ensuring the optimal use of this equipment for educational purposes, in accordance with the highest safety and quality standards.

The signing ceremony was witnessed by Dr. Ehab Hassanein, Vice President for Academic Affairs at Galala University, Dr. Rana Zeidan, Secretary General of the University, Dr. Afaf El-Oufy, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Tamer MoUstafa, Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering, Mohab Saleh, General Manager of Business Development, and Mohamed El-Sharkawy, Director of Media Department at the University. From e& Egypt Company, there were Engineer Moustafa El-Anwar, Head of Regulatory Affairs Sector, and Engineer Ahmed Embaby, Head of Communications and Brand Sector.
