Minister of Parliamentary, Legal Affairs, and Political Communication Mahmoud Fawzy participated in a Senate session chaired by Counselor Abdel Wahab Abdel Razek on Sunday to discuss two requests for a general debate on property and land registration.
The first request, submitted by deputy Mahmoud Abu Sedira and more than twenty members, sought clarification on the government's policy regarding of removal obstacles faced by citizens when registering agricultural lands in the land registry.
The second request, submitted by deputy
Mohamed Magdy Farid and more than twenty members, sought clarification of the
government's policy on protecting private property and facilitating real estate registration procedures.
The Council agreed to refer the two requests for general discussion to the Constitutional and Legislative Affairs Committee for consideration and preparation of a report on them.
