Egypt marks Prophet's birthday with Sunday official day off

Dr. Moustafa Madbouly, the Prime Minister, has issued a decision declaring the upcoming Sunday, September 15th, corresponding to the 12th of Rabi' al-Awwal 1446 AH, a national holiday to celebrate the Prophet Muhammad's birthday. The holiday will apply to all government employees and most private sector workers.
