Hesham Ezz El-Arab reappointed as CEO of CIB

The Board of Directors of Commercial International Bank (CIB) has decided to appoint Hesham El-Ezz as the new Managing Director and a member of the Board, succeeding Hussein Abaza who has completed his term at the bank.

The board appointed Amr El-Ganainy as Deputy Managing Director and an executive member of the board. Additionally, they appointed veteran Tony Prestedge as an executive advisor. Islam Zekry, the Group Chief Financial Officer and a member of the Board of CIB Kenya, was appointed as an executive member of the board.  Neveen Sabour has been nominated as the non-executive chairman of the board, making her the first woman to hold this position at the bank.

The bank revealed that these nominations are part of a comprehensive search to select a new Managing Director to lead the bank in the coming period. During this period, the bank aims to implement a digital transformation plan for all aspects of the its activities and operations, while continuing the board's plan to prepare and support a number of future leaders.
