Japan, Egypt partner to boost business climate

Fumio Iwai, the Japanese Ambassador to Cairo, announced that continuous efforts are being made in collaboration with the Egyptian government to enhance the business climate for Japanese companies already operating in Egypt.

The Ambassador stated that a recent meeting with Hossam Heiba, CEO of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones, was held to discuss these matters.

The Ambassador acknowledged the growing number of Japanese companies expanding their operations in Egypt, noting the significant increase in Japanese investments recently.

He emphasized, "To further strengthen this momentum, it is crucial to increase the visibility of Egypt's investment attractiveness. Simultaneously, improving the business environment for existing Japanese companies is a critical concern."

He continued, stating that regular discussions have been held between the two countries since last year to address challenges and resolve issues faced by Japanese companies, and that progress has been made in this regard.

He added, "The Japanese Embassy will continue to collaborate with Japanese companies and relevant stakeholders, working diligently to further strengthen trade relations between the two countries."
