Prime Minister Dr. Moustafa Madbouly has issued a decision to form specialized advisory committees. These committees aim to strengthen communication and collaboration between the government and experts from diverse private sector fields. This initiative is part of a broader effort to establish permanent channels for exchanging ideas and proposals, thereby enhancing the policy-making process.
The decision outlined the formation of six specialized advisory committees, appointing their members. Each committee is mandated to provide opinions and proposals to support government efforts to reform and develop its respective sector, as well as enhance the private sector's role in policymaking. These advisory tasks include:
Submitting periodic advisory
reports to the Prime Minister, outlining the challenges facing the sector, and
proposing practical solutions to address them.
Providing advisory opinions on
government strategies, plans, policies, and programs, along with objective
assessments of their impact on the sector.
Participating in advisory discussions
related to the formulation of policies relevant to the development of the
sector.
Preparing independent advisory
assessments of the feasibility of government solutions and policies aimed at
developing the sector in the short and medium terms.
Suggesting advisory mechanisms to
enhance the international competitiveness of the sector and improve its
efficiency.
Providing advice on additional
tasks assigned by the Prime Minister, consistent with the committee's
objectives.
Each specialized advisory committee,
chaired by the Prime Minister and attended by ministers and heads of relevant
authorities, will meet regularly, at least once a month, or whenever necessary.
These meetings will address all challenges facing the sector and propose
policies and solutions that can be adopted.
The decision emphasized that the
formation of these advisory groups, comprising a select group of private sector
professionals, experts, and specialists, will allow for the recruitment of
additional specialized cadres according to the nature of the issues discussed
in each group. This will ensure the continuous renewal of talent and the
enhancement of intellectual and specialized diversity to achieve the highest
levels of efficiency in addressing challenges and developing innovative visions
for sustainable development.
