World-renowned golfer Joaquin Niemann visited Madinaty Golf Club (MGC) today, Thursday. He was accompanied by Omar Hisham Talaat, the CEO of Business Development at Talaat Moustafa Group (TMG).

Impressed by the quality of the
courses, Niemann affirmed that MGC rivals the world's most prestigious golf
clubs and is well-equipped to host international professional tournaments.
Madinaty Golf Club, a premier course owned by Talaat Moustafa Group, has been recognized as the Best Golf Course in Africa for 2023, surpassing over 900 other courses on the continent. Additionally, it has secured the title of Best Golf Course in Egypt for three consecutive years (2021-2023), as awarded by the World Golf Awards, a specialized organization that evaluates golf courses globally.
Omar Hisham Talaat Mostafa is
poised to become the next president of the Egyptian Golf Federation by
acclamation, as he is the sole candidate for the position in the upcoming term
(2028).
The federation's board of
directors will consist of seven members: the president and six additional
members: Sherif Fahmy, Mohamed Anwar, Ali Sabry, Amr Saleh, Ahmed El Shalaqany,
and Mohamed Wagdy.
The nomination period for the Egyptian Golf Federation elections concluded on November 1st. Elections will be held on November 27th to select a new board of directors for the federation, who will serve from 2024 to 2028.
Three sports bodies with voting rights will attend the Golf Federation's general assembly: Sporting, Al Jazeera, and Palm Hills.
