Omar Hisham elected Golf Federation President

The General Assembly of the Egyptian Golf Federation unanimously elected Engineer Omar Hisham Talaat Moustafa as the president of the federation's board of directors for the 2024-2028 term. No other candidates contested the election.

The Assembly convened on Wednesday at 2:00 PM at the Sports Federations Complex in Cairo International Stadium.

Engineer Omar Hisham's entire slate was elected by acclamation, including: Sherif Fahmy, Ahmed El Shalqany, Mohamed Anwar, Ali Sabry, Amr Saleh, and Mohamed Wagdy.

The nomination period for the elections was open from Saturday, October 26, to November 1.

Representatives from three clubs attended the General Assembly: Al Gezira Club (represented by Ehab Lehita), Sporting Club (represented by Dina Al-Manasterly), and Palm Hills (represented by Ehab Hosny).

Additionally, Counselor Mohamed El-Assyouty, Head of Legal Affairs at the Egyptian Olympic Committee, Dr. Wissam El-Sayed from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and Counselor Mohamed Omar, the judicial supervisor, were present at the meeting.

It is worth noting that all elections for sports federations and bodies are scheduled to be completed by the end of December.
