Prime Minister Dr. Moustafa Madbouly has chosen thirteen members of the specialized Digital Economy Advisory Committee. Their mission will be to provide advice and opinions to the government on economic issues related to the digital field.

Committee members include:

Mohamed Ahmed Kamel Azab (Mohamed Azab):

Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of  Seha Healthcare Group and Grinta Pharmaceuticals.

Mohamed Azab is a prominent figure in the field of entrepreneurship, having actively contributed to numerous investment committees and boards of directors. Additionally, he serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Endeavor Egypt, an organization that supports high-impact entrepreneurs.

Professional Experience:

Azab holds both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Investment Management from Washington State University. He is also a graduate of Harvard Business School.

He is a pioneering figure in his field, consistently driving innovation and making substantial contributions to the advancement of both the healthcare and entrepreneurship sectors.

Karim Beshara:

Co-founder and Managing Partner at Accelero Capital.

Professional Experience:

20+ years of experience in asset management and investment.

Founded and led numerous companies in the region and globally. He is also the Managing Partner of the venture capital firm A15.

Focused on technology startups and invests in early-stage companies. A15 supports startups through sessions on product and technology development, preparing for future funding rounds, and exit strategies.

He currently manages a total of $700 million in assets.

Beshara currently serves on the boards of companies in Egypt, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Canada, Dubai, Mauritius, the United States, and more. He provides direct operational and financial support to help these companies reach their full growth potential.

After graduating from the American University in Cairo in 1997 with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, he co-founded LINKdotNET, the largest internet service provider in the Middle East.

Developed several subsidiaries dedicated to online advertising and content management.

Oversaw the acquisition of LINKdotNET by Mobinil in 2020.

From 2012 to 2014, Beshara served as CEO of Orascom Telecom Media and Technology.

Beshara currently serves on the boards of companies such as A15, Accelero, Subfero, Sympl, Kijamii, Paymob, and others.

Amal Ibrahim Saad Anan (Amal Anan):

Amal Anan is a partner at 500 Global, a multi-stage global venture capital fund with $2.5 billion in assets under management.

At 500 Global, Amal leads the company's early-stage investments in Egypt across high-growth sectors, including health tech, fintech, and software as a service. She also oversees broader Egypt programs and team building.

Previously, she served as Executive Director of the Egyptian-American Enterprise Fund (EAEF).

Professional Experience:

Holds a Master's in Business Administration from Harvard Business School, a Master's in Environment and Development from the London School of Economics, and a Bachelor's in Economics from Cairo University.

She is an Aspen Institute Fellow and a Young Global Leader at the World Economic Forum.

Joined EAEF as its first employee and since then, the organization has grown to over $300 million, investing in numerous Egyptian companies addressing development needs in Egypt, before joining the Egyptian Fund.

She was part of a team of economic experts in the Macroeconomic Policy Unit at the Ministry of Finance, where she formulated reform policies and drafted sections of the state's general budget.

Gained investment experience at the International Finance Corporation, where she worked as an Associate Investment Officer in the Infrastructure Department.

Started her career in the research department at the financial group Hermes as a junior economist and became a CFA charterholder.

Engineer Wael Abouelmaaty:

Partner, CEO, and Board Member at PwC Egypt Technology and Innovation Center (ETIC).

Managing Director of Valeo Egypt and Vice President of Global Technology Centers.

Founder, Partner, and Vice President of Engineering at Uni Mobile (a startup) in Silicon Valley, California, USA.

Recipient of the French Order of Merit in 2018, making him the second Egyptian to receive this highest French honor.

Possesses over 30 years of experience in technology solution delivery centers and the technology industry, and more than 11 years working in Silicon Valley, California, and establishing 7 technology centers for four multinational companies.

Professional Experience:

Holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with Honors, San Jose State University, California, a Diploma in Engineering Management from the same university, and an Executive Management Diploma from INSEAD, France.

Started and managed Valeo Egypt until it became the largest R&D center for Valeo, and established the first automotive R&D center in Egypt.

Founded more than 10 startups over the years, and also established software centers in Shenzhen and Chennai for Valeo, each with over 1000 employees.

Member of the Board of Directors of the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) since August 2024.

 Engineer Maged Mahmoud:

Vice President and General Manager of the Center of Excellence at Dell Technologies Egypt.

IT Executive with extensive experience in successfully leading and transforming organizations.

Proven track record in establishing and scaling high-performance organizations at both regional and global levels.

Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth, enhance organizational performance, and improve operational efficiency through a unique blend of strategic vision, operational expertise, and strong leadership skills.

Professional Experience:

Holds a degree in Engineering from Ain Shams University in Cairo (1988) and a diploma in "Strategic Management of IT Programs and Services" from the International Institute for Management Development in Copenhagen (2005).

Possesses over 35 years of experience in the IT industry.

Previously served as Vice President and General Manager of the Center of Excellence in Egypt at Dell Technologies.

Prior to Dell, worked at Oracle Corporation from January 1998 to June 2009 as the Head of the Global Consulting Services Solutions Center, where he was responsible for providing consulting services to global clients.

Before his 11-year tenure at Oracle, Maged worked at IBM for ten years (1988-1998) holding various IT positions serving the Middle East market.

Throughout his career, he has developed expertise in sales, support, and consulting services.

 Engineer Tamer Ismail Ali Khalil (Tamer Ali):

Tamer Ali currently holds the position of Head of Technical Centers for the Valeo Group and CEO of Valeo Egypt.

He holds a Master's degree in Business Administration from ESLSCA University, a PMP certification from RITSIC, and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from Cairo University.

Professional Experience:

With over 25 years of experience, Ali was among the first engineers to establish Valeo Egypt in 2005.

He has held numerous key positions throughout his career.

Currently, he serves as the first Egyptian to represent Valeo globally, leading a team of over seven thousand engineers. This team is dedicated to developing cutting-edge technologies in Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), vehicle electrification, lighting systems, and interior experiences. Ali manages global engineering centers in Egypt, India, China, and Mexico.

 Loay Yousuf Gamal El-Din Ibrahim El-Shawarby (Loay El-Shawarby):

Managing Director at El-Shawarby Law Firm.

Member of the Advisory Council for Startups and Entrepreneurship (2024) at the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones.

Board Member at Egypt Entrepreneurship Company.

Assistant Lecturer in National and International Business and Investment Law (2000-2024).

 Professional Experience:

Master's in International and Comparative Law from Georgetown University Law Center, Washington D.C. (2004).

Bachelor of Laws from the Faculty of Law, Cairo University (2000).

Diploma in Islamic Jurisprudence from the American University in Cairo.

 Dalia Mohamed Ahmed Mohamed Ibrahim (Dalia Mohamed Ibrahim):

Dalia Mohamed Ibrahim is the Chairperson of Nahdet Misr Publishing House.

She graduated with honors in Business Administration from the American University in Cairo. She furthered her education by earning a Master's degree in Public Administration in 1999 and another Master's in Executive Business Administration in 2014, both from the American University in Cairo.

is the founder and Chairperson of EdVentures, the venture capital arm of Nahdet Misr. She is also the founder and Chairperson of Taheel for Excellence Development, a company specializing in technical and vocational training.

Nahdet Misr Publishing House is a leading institution in the Middle East's education and capacity-building sector.

Ibrahim also heads Taheel for Excellence Development, which specializes in technical and vocational education

 Professional Experience:

She began her career at Nahdet Misr, a family business founded by her grandfather in 1994. As CEO, she spearheaded a strategic transformation, expanding the company's portfolio to encompass a diverse range of educational, cultural, and training solutions across local and regional markets.

Under her leadership, Nahdet Misr diversified, establishing subsidiaries including Nahdet Misr for Digital Solutions (1996), Nahdet Misr for Advertising (1998), Nahdet Misr for Press and Media (2004), and Nahdet Misr for Entrepreneurship (2017). In 2023, she oversaw the launch of "Usool" in Saudi Arabia, further expanding the company's international reach.

 Helmy Ghazi:

Executive Vice President & Head of Global Banking, HSBC Bank Egypt based in Cairo.

Leads the bank's coverage of its largest corporate, financial institution, and government clients in Egypt.

Professional Experience:

Extensive experience in HSBC Bank Egypt.

Ghazi holds a Bachelor's degree in Foreign Trade and is a Certified Financial Analyst (CFA).

Over 25 years of experience in corporate and investment banking.

Expertise in the energy, infrastructure, and general industries sectors.

Throughout his career, he has proven track record in originating and executing complex, high-value financial advisory transactions across Egypt and the MENA region.

 Engineer Omar Nabil Ibrahim Elsahy (Omar Elsahy):

General Manager of Amazon Egypt since 2017.

Experience: Over two decades of experience in business management and e-commerce development.

Combining local knowledge and expertise with Amazon's global experience to deliver high value to customers in Egypt.

Professional Background:

Holds a Master's degree in Engineering Management and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Florida Institute of Technology.

Founded and managed several e-commerce ventures, including Odezy.com and Dealwaty.com

Prior to entering the e-commerce field, co-founded iGroup Corp., a US-based outsourcing services company, and Ice Watch Egypt, the exclusive distributor of Ice Watch in Egypt.

Currently serves on the Board of Directors for the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt.

 Holds a position on the Strategic Advisory Board for the Dean of the American University in Cairo's School of Business.

 Dr. Tamer Saad Megahed El-Raghy (Tamer El-Raghy):

General Manager of the Resilient Agriculture Fund, a leading impact investment fund in agriculture.

Professional Experience:

Invests in early-stage agricultural companies with business models that help farmers adapt to climate change.

Led a team that invested in 14 companies impacting over 2 million farmers in sub-Saharan Africa.

Holds a Bachelor's in Metallurgical Engineering from Cairo University, an MBA from New York University's Stern School of Business, and a PhD in Materials Engineering from Drexel University.

Over 20 years of experience in venture capital, corporate responsibility, growth strategy, and investment activities for Cargill in the agriculture and food sector in Africa.

 Mohammad El Sayed Hosny Talaat Okasha (Mohammad Okasha):

He is the founder and managing partner at Disruptech Ventures.

He also chairs the Investment Committee and serves on the boards of portfolio companies.

Professional Experience:

Okasha is a seasoned executive and a prominent thinker with over 30 years of experience.

He co-founded Fawry, Egypt's leading electronic payments company, in 2009 and served as its Managing Director.

Under his leadership, Fawry successfully navigated multiple funding rounds and achieved a highly successful IPO in 2019, oversubscribed by 30 times.

Prior to Fawry, Dr. Okasha led commercial operations as Head of Marketing at Vodafone Egypt.

He began his career at Raya Holding, where he progressed through various subsidiaries, ultimately becoming Managing Director of the IT subsidiary.

 Hossam Abdel Hamid Seifeldin (Hossam Seifeldin):

CEO of Capgemini Egypt.

He earned a Bachelor of Engineering from Ain Shams University and a degree in Management from a UK business school.

He serves on the Board of Trustees of Elsewedy International University.

Professional Experience:

He serves as a board member of Raya Holding and chairs the Digital Transformation Committee at the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt.

Prior to joining Capgemini, he spent 27 years at IBM, where he honed his expertise in operations, transformation, and strategic development across the Middle East and Africa.

During his tenure at IBM, he held several key leadership roles, including General Manager for the Middle East and Pakistan, General Manager for the Africa region, and ultimately Vice President for the region.
