Enineer. Hassan Al-Khatib, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, held a series of meetings with representatives of business circles and Emirati companies during his visit to the UAE to review Egyptian economic policies and available investment opportunities.
The Egyptian Commercial Office in the UAE, in cooperation with the UAE Investors Council Abroad, organized a meeting that brought together the Minister with 20 Emirati companies and investors, in the presence of Ambassador Sherif Issa and Abdullah Al Saleh, First Undersecretary of the UAE Ministry of Economy.
Al-Khatib reviewed Egypt's efforts to improve the investment
climate and increase foreign trade through reforms in financial, monetary, and
trade policies, simplifying procedures, and clarifying the state ownership
policy. He emphasized that Egypt possesses the elements to attract investments,
including qualified labour, industrial lands, a distinguished geographical
location, and trade agreements that allow access to global markets.
The Minister pointed out the government's keenness to
attract Emirati investments, especially in the areas of industrial integration,
to meet the needs of both markets and for export.
Al-Khatib also met with representatives of Sky Abu Dhabi Real Estate Development Company to discuss increasing their investments in Egypt, and a delegation from Smart Energy Company to review investment opportunities in renewable energy.
