Minister Shimi visits El Nasr Automotive to review production

Engineer Mohamed Shimi, Minister of Public Business Sector, conducted a field visit yesterday, Saturday, to El Nasr Automotive Manufacturing Company, affiliated with the Holding Company for Metallurgical Industries, to review the latest developments in operations and production, as well as the status of development projects.

During the tour, the Minister inspected the final rehabilitation works of factory (4), a 40,000 square meter facility being prepared for passenger car production. This included reviewing the installation of new assembly, welding, and painting lines, as well as the renewed E-coat rust protection line. The Minister directed acceleration of implementation and adherence to the completion timeline. He also observed bus factory production and final rehabilitation work on the passenger car factory.

Minister Shimi reviewed the operation and production of factory (3), which produces 5 buses per week following rehabilitation. He assessed the supply of new buses under current contracts, produced to international standards, and the progress of the electric minibus and battery production project. The review was conducted with Engineer Mohamed El-Saadawy and Dr. Khaled Shedid.

Engineer Mohamed Shimi shared an Iftar meal with the workers, congratulating them on Ramadan. He emphasized their vital role in the development process, praising their commitment and highlighting the Ministry's dedication to improving their work environment. The Minister affirmed that El Nasr Automotive Manufacturing Company's development is crucial to supporting national industry, noting the state's efforts to enhance its competitive capabilities in line with global automotive trends.

Concluding his visit, the Minister stressed the continued drive to significantly increase production across buses, passenger cars, electric minibuses, and light transport. This push aims to realize strategic objectives and reinforce El Nasr Automotive Manufacturing Company's position as a vital industrial stronghold in Egypt.
