President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi affirmed that the economic conditions have begun to improve, stating that Egypt has navigated the challenges of the past fifteen years with steady and deliberate steps.
During the annual Iftar banquet hosted by the Armed Forces, commemorating the Tenth of Ramadan victories, Martyr's Day, and Veteran's Day, attended by senior state officials, Armed Forces leaders, media figures and public figures, the President stated that the world is currently going through difficult circumstances, as is the Middle East region, noting that the state incurs monthly losses of approximately $800 million in Suez Canal revenues due to these conditions.
However, he emphasized the Egyptian economy's positive
indicators, notably the IMF's recent approval for a new tranche, and stressed
the importance of intensifying work and pursuing societal development through
deliberate actions.
The President lauded the Egyptian people's unity and their
unwavering support, and the strength of state institutions, especially the
Armed Forces and the Civil Police, as they represent the main pillar of the
state in these exceptional times.
Presidential Spokesperson, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, conveyed that the President reassured the Egyptian people, acknowledging their anxiety over current events, and praised their national responsibility and commitment to state stability.
