Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, held a meeting with representatives of an international company specializing in the construction of Crystal Lagoons and wastewater treatment, in the presence of officials from the Ministry and the New Urban Communities Authority.
During the meeting, Engineer El-Sherbiny reviewed a number of advanced proposals and ideas for creating crystal lagoon lakes, without the traditional methods that rely on well water. He also discussed investment activities, both recreational and touristic, in the areas surrounding the lake. Advanced, environmentally friendly proposals for treating wastewater were also reviewed.
El-Sherbiny confirmed that work is underway
to create a seafront for the lands located south of the international coastal
road, by constructing lakes to maximize the use of these lands. This will
increase land value and provide more investment opportunities for tourism
development projects, which will contribute to providing more hotel units and
rooms to accommodate the increasing number of tourists on the North Coast in
the coming years.
The Minister of Housing directed the development of a comprehensive vision for the proposed projects and a thorough study of all aspects to begin implementation procedures, maximize the use of vacant lands, and attract more investment.
