Housing, Industrialization Authority discuss Decent Life projects

Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, discussed with, Major General Mokhtar Abdel Latif, Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI), the implementation status of joint projects within the presidential initiative "Decent Life" to develop rural villages in Egypt. This meeting was attended by officials from the Ministry, the AOI, and the heads of its affiliated factories.

 Al-Sherbiny praised the joint cooperation between the Ministry of Housing and the Arab Organization for Industrialization. He noted that the meeting comes within the framework of overcoming any obstacles that may hinder the implementation of work, while ensuring integration in project implementation. He also lauded his recent visit to the organization's engine factory, which he described as a prominent showcase for Egyptian industries.

He emphasized the Ministry’s full support, in coordination with various relevant authorities, for the localization of various industries of drinking water and sanitation sector, particularly projects of Decent Life initiative. This aligns with the political leadership's directives to localize industry and rely on local products in project implementation and maintenance operations.

The meeting addressed the status of ongoing projects in cooperation with the AOI and its affiliated factories under the Decent Life program, including drinking water and sewage treatment plants in several villages. The meeting also discussed ways to advance progress toward the completion and operation of these projects.

At the conclusion of the meeting, it was agreed to continue coordination between the Ministry of Housing and the Arab Organization for Industrialization, and to conduct regular follow-up until projects are completed on schedule.
