Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, attended the "Shaping the Future of Artificial Intelligence in Egypt" forum, organized by the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) in collaboration with 500 Global, at the Egypt Digital Innovation Center in Giza.
The forum was attended by officials from artificial intelligence companies, founders of venture capital funds, representatives from sectors concerned with AI applications, as well as entrepreneurs and startups.
The forum aims to discuss the National Artificial
Intelligence Strategy (2025-2030) with the private sector, and highlight its
importance in supporting entrepreneurship and investment.
Dr. Amr Talaat emphasized the Ministry's keenness to
maintain regular communication with the communications and information
technology sector, noting the increasing role of AI in various sectors.
The forum aims to create a dialogue between the government,
startups, and the private sector, to enable startups to develop innovative
solutions based on AI in the communications, health, and banking sectors.
Talaat explained that the National Artificial Intelligence
Strategy is based on six main pillars, including computing infrastructure, data
regulation, ecosystem building, competency development, legislation
development, and establishing a sound AI ecosystem.
The strategy aims to attract investments, develop local companies, and stimulate cooperation between global and local companies in the field of artificial intelligence.
