Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, will hold a press conference tomorrow, Thursday, March 27, 2025, to announce the launch of 400,000 housing units at various levels, in implementation of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's directives to provide adequate housing for all segments of society.
Details of the new housing initiative:
This proposal aligns with the state's strategy to
promote the “Right to Adequate Housing”, through social, medium-sized, and
premium housing projects, in line with sustainable urban development plans. The
project will include a number of new cities in various governorates, with
financing facilities for citizens wishing to benefit from the initiative.
Locations of new residential units:
El-Sherbiny is expected to announce the locations of
housing units in various governorates, determine reservation mechanisms and
conditions for benefiting from the new offer, review the financing facilities
within the initiative, in cooperation with Egyptian banks, and discuss the
ministry’s efforts in providing housing solutions that suit all categories.
Housing and Urban Development in Egypt:
This proposal is part of the state's efforts to support the housing sector. The Ministry of Housing seeks to expand the urban area and provide modern, fully serviced residential communities to meet citizens' needs and achieve Egypt's 2030 vision for sustainable development.
