El-Sherbiny follows up on business district in Administrative Capital

Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, held a meeting Thursday evening to follow up on the implementation of the Central Business District (CBD) project in the New Administrative Capital, in the presence of ministry officials and the Chinese company CSCEC.

El-Sherbiny emphasized that this meeting comes within the framework of ongoing monitoring of the project and ensuring adherence to the scheduled deadlines. He highlighted the great importance of the CBD project in the New Administrative Capital, which is regularly monitored by the political leadership. It represents a prominent landmark in Egyptian-Chinese cooperation in urban development, as well as the close relations between the two countries, particularly since CSCEC, the Chinese construction company implementing the project, is currently undertaking numerous projects in Egypt.

He also followed up on the work plan and progress of work, emphasizing the need to strictly adhere to the scheduled timelines for project completion, in accordance with the directives of the political leadership. He emphasized the continued provision of the necessary support to complete the projects and the importance of regular follow-up of work.

During the meeting, El-Sherbiny listened to a detailed explanation of the latest developments in the implementation of the Central Business District in the New Administrative Capital. The district includes a group of multi-use towers divided into 10 towers, each dedicated to administrative, office, commercial, and service activities, with heights ranging from 80 to 175 meters.

The towers also include five residential towers with 1,700 fully finished residential units, each with heights ranging from 152 to 200 meters. The towers also include the Crescent Towers (consisting of four connected towers) dedicated to hotel, hotel apartments, public services, entertainment, and commercial activities. The Crescent Towers reach a height of 64 meters, while the Iconic Tower stands at approximately 400 meters.

At the conclusion of the meeting, several proposals were discussed to advance the project and its implementation mechanisms. The Minister of Housing emphasized the importance of regular monitoring through daily field presence and the preparation of detailed reports on the project's progress.
