Housing Ministry prevents Eid building violations in new cities

Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, the Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, has announced the establishment of emergency teams within city authorities to prevent building violations during the Eid al-Fitr holiday in new cities. These teams will immediately address any violations, monitor the operation of public utilities, and ensure the smooth functioning of drinking water and sewage stations to prevent malfunctions. They will also maintain full readiness for emergencies and coordinate across city authorities to ensure consistent service delivery.

The Minister also directed the intensification of cleaning efforts in new cities, the maintenance of parks and gardens, and coordination with relevant bodies to provide citizens with comfortable conditions during the Eid al-Fitr holiday.

Furthermore, Engineer Abdel Raouf El-Ghity, head of the New Cairo City Development Authority, announced the formation of an emergency task force, led by the deputy head of the authority, throughout the Eid al-Fitr holiday. This task force will monitor public utility operations and prevent violations within the city.

Marwa Hussein Amin, Head of the Sheikh Zayed City Authority, instructed department heads to intensify cleaning efforts, including garbage removal from streets, parks, and around mosques, inspect and insulate light poles, and control mosquitoes to ensure a clean and safe Eid al-Fitr holiday for residents and visitors.

Mohamed Abdel Aziz Amer, Head of the Badr City Authority, and officials inspected the city's sewage stations to confirm operational efficiency and readiness during Eid al-Fitr.

Ashraf El-Samaligy, Head of the New Nubaria City Authority, conducted a surprise inspection of water and sewage facilities to verify their preparedness and ensure consistent staffing during the holiday.

Sherif Abdel Badie, Head of the New Sohag City Authority, emphasized the need for continuous monitoring of construction activities, particularly during holidays, by the Development, Security, and Districts Departments to promptly address and remove any violations.
