Dr. Ahmed Al-Sobki, Chairman of the General Authority for Healthcare and General Supervisor of the Comprehensive Health Insurance Project at the Ministry of Health and Population, met with Engineer Amr Kandil, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Siemens Healthcare Egypt, along with company representatives Engineer Khaled Ismail and Engineer Tariq Al-Ashraf, at the authority’s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital.
The meeting focused on enhancing joint cooperation between the Healthcare Authority and Siemens Healthcare to advance Egypt's healthcare sector. Attendees discussed Future visions and strategies to implement the cooperation protocol signed at the Africa Health Forum 2024 and explore new avenues of collaboration aligned with Egypt's Vision 2030.
Al-Sobki highlighted that the
collaboration with Siemens encompasses training doctors, radiology technicians,
and medical device engineers at the Authority's healthcare facilities across
governorates to implement radiology techniques within the comprehensive health
insurance system. The initial training phase will commence next September in
the Canal Region, followed by a broader rollout to Upper Egypt. This
partnership aims to conduct simulations of these solutions' application in
other countries, aligning with the Authority's strategic plan and the goals of
the comprehensive health insurance system.
"We are exploring potential
collaborations with Siemens to establish a cutting-edge training center in
Upper Egypt," Al-Sobki continued. "This facility would specialize in
training radiologists, radiology technicians, and medical device engineers on
the latest diagnostic equipment for radiology and laboratories. This initiative
aligns with the political leadership's focus on developing Upper Egypt and
realizing Egypt's Vision 2030."
Al-Sobki commended Siemens for
