President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohamed Shiaa Al-Sudani today in Cairo. The meeting focused on bolstering economic cooperation, trade, and investment between the two countries.
The Egyptian delegation, led by
Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, included ministers from various sectors. The
talks also addressed regional issues of mutual interest.
The official spokesman for the
Egyptian Presidency announced that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Iraqi
Prime Minister Mohamed Shiaa Al-Sudani expressed satisfaction with the strong
bilateral relations between their countries. Egypt reiterated its full support
for Iraq's unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, as well as its
efforts to achieve stability, security, and development.
The leaders of Egypt, Iraq, and
Jordan agreed to enhance their joint efforts to promote Arab cooperation. They
emphasized the importance of the trilateral mechanism between their countries
and pledged to work towards its success. The goal is to create a model for
effective regional collaboration and integration.
The meeting also discussed the
ongoing bilateral cooperation between the two countries, particularly regarding
the ongoing efforts to increase mutual and joint investments, as well as
cooperation in the fields of infrastructure, urban development, tourism,
energy, transport, and industry, with the aim of optimally utilizing the
resources of both countries for the benefit of their brotherly peoples.
The leaders discussed expanding
bilateral cooperation in areas such as investment, infrastructure, urban
development, tourism, energy, transport, and industry. They aim to maximize the
benefits for both countries through shared resources.
The Iraqi Prime Minister commended Egypt's vast experience and proven successes in these fields.
