PM inspects the Central Business District project in the Administrative Capital

Dr. Moustafa Madbouly, the Prime Minister, inspected the Central Business District (CBD) project in the New Administrative Capital. He was accompanied by the Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, along with a number of ministry officials, the New Urban Communities Authority, and the Chinese company implementing the project.

At the start of his tour, the Prime Minister affirmed that the Egyptian state has achieved an unprecedented urban leap in recent years, particularly with the massive projects seen in the fourth-generation cities, including the New Administrative Capital, which the government is working to maximize their utilization, including high-quality and diverse housing units.

He explained that the Central Business District represents one of the most important areas within the New Administrative Capital, as it includes a large number of towers, most notably the Iconic Tower, which is the tallest tower in Africa.

In this context, Madbouly pointed out his keenness to follow up on the implementation of the CBD project due to its great importance, which is why it receives continuous monitoring to advance the work, stressing the need to pay attention to the implementation of various works in the project according to the highest quality standards and in accordance with the designs.

The Minister of Housing explained that the Central Business District (CBD) includes 20 towers, divided into 10 towers with activities (administrative - office - commercial - service), with total areas of 806 thousand square meters, and their heights range between 80 and 175 meters, and 5 residential towers with 1700 fully finished housing units, with total areas of 102 thousand square meters, with heights ranging between 152 and 200 meters, in addition to the Crescent Towers (consisting of 4 connected towers) with activities (hotel and hotel apartments, public services - entertainment services - commercial), and the height of the Crescent Towers reaches 64 meters.

Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny added that the Iconic Tower is the tallest tower in Africa, with a height of about 400 meters, and includes multiple activities (hotel - commercial - administrative), as it includes one of the international hotels operating for the first time in Egypt and Africa, hotel and administrative units, and a commercial area containing many services (businessmen - entertainment services - commercial - hotel), and 40 floors for administrative offices, 10 floors for hotel apartments with 52 units, and 30 floors for the hotel with 183 rooms, with total areas of 266 thousand square meters.

At a viewing point in the project, the Prime Minister saw the landmarks of the New Administrative Capital from one of the towers in the CBD, stressing that it was a dream that has become a tangible reality within a few years, directing the preservation of the capital's buildings for their sustainability, through the regular work of maintenance companies.

Dr. Madbouly inspected the twentieth floor of the residential tower D03, and also inspected two models of the housing units included in the tower. He also saw the Green River from the designated viewing point on the balcony of the floor to follow up on the achievement of the river's components, and then moved to the Central Services Station, where he inspected both the generators building and the chillers building.

They also visited the Iconic Tower, where they ascended to the 47th floor to inspect a model of a hotel apartment, and also went to a viewing point on the floor to see the commercial area and the "Key of Life" area in the project.
