Sir Mohamed Mansour, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Mansour Automotive Group, expressed immense pride in a historic milestone achieved by General Motors Egypt. As the first Egyptian company to do so, Mansour Automotive successfully produced and distributed one million vehicles, as the first Egyptian company to reach this achievement.
During a celebration commemorating the production of the one millionth vehicle at the General Motors plant in Egypt, Mansour emphasized the enduring partnership of over four decades with General Motors International. He attributed this exceptional achievement to the tireless efforts and dedication of the highly skilled management and staff team, a combination unmatched by any other company.
He further emphasized that
Mansour Automotive has significantly enriched the local industry by introducing
advanced global manufacturing standards. The company's world-class system,
unparalleled in Egypt and the Middle East, has successfully created 50,000
direct and indirect job opportunities in supply operations, making it an
integral part of the Egyptian economy.
Reflecting on the company's
journey, Mansour recalled how his father, Lotfi Mansour, founded Mansour
Automotive in 1975 and embarked on a pioneering venture in automobile
manufacturing. The partnership with General Motors marked a pivotal moment in
the company's growth and success. Mansour expressed immense pride in achieving
this milestone, as his father's initial aspiration of selling 50,000 cars has
now been surpassed with the company reaching one million vehicles sold.
Mansour stated that Mansour Automotive's goal extends beyond importing cars. The company is committed to investing in local manufacturing, contributing to the national economy, employing Egyptian workers, and expanding its reach through exports.
