Prime Minister Dr. Moustafa Madbouly discussed on Tuesday with Jens Holtinger, Executive Vice President of Volvo Truck Operations, means of cooperation in the field of environmentally friendly electric transportation. This occurred during the Prime Minister's meetings on the sidelines of the Davos Forum in Switzerland, representing President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
The meeting was attended by Engineer Hassan Al-Khatib, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, and Mohamed Negm, Egyptian Ambassador to Switzerland.
Madbouly praised Volvo Group's
advancements in electric vehicle manufacturing, emphasizing Egypt's desire for
collaboration. He highlighted the country's goal of expanding electric vehicle
usage to achieve environmental objectives.
Madbouly expressed his ambition
to strengthen the partnership with Volvo, emphasizing the importance of
understanding Volvo's perspective on mutually beneficial cooperation
opportunities. He outlined Egypt's aspiration to become a regional hub for
Volvo's electric vehicle production, leveraging export potential to neighboring
countries, particularly within Africa. He assured Volvo of the Egyptian
government's commitment to providing incentives to attract and support
investments.

for a successful partnership.
