Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Sherif Fathy, held a meeting at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization in Fustat with Maya Jennifer Coyle, CEO of ETI Tourism Group and Managing Director of the Group in Germany, to discuss increasing inbound tourism to Egypt from Germany, Austria, and Eastern Europe in the coming period.
The meeting discussed the Group's substantial growth in
Egypt, evidenced by the increasing business volume and ongoing expansion of
hotel facilities. A new hotel in Marsa Alam is nearing completion, and the
Group is poised to open another hotel on the North Coast with a capacity of 500
rooms.
Group officials expressed their keen interest in expanding
their operations in Egypt, especially given the surging demand for Egyptian
tourism among their target markets during the upcoming winter season. They highlighted
the need to promote beach tourism, particularly in Germany, and anticipated a
rise in demand for cultural tourism in Upper Egypt starting this winter.
