The inaugural Egypt's International Electric Vehicle Summit is set to commence tomorrow, Thursday, and continue for three days at the Egypt International Exhibition Center in El-Moshir Hussein Tantawy Axis. This international conference and exhibition is dedicated to showcasing the latest technologies in electric vehicles and transportation.
Held under the patronage of the
Cabinet, the Ministries of Trade and Industry, Environment, Higher Education
and Scientific Research, Supply and Internal Trade, the Arab Organization for
Industrialization, the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones, the
General Authority for Export and Import Control, the National Authority for
Administration and Investment, and the Internal Trade Development Authority,
the summit enjoys extensive media coverage from Masrawy and Shift.EG, both
owned by the Ona Media Services Foundation.
The summit will feature a series
of panel discussions and sessions with renowned innovators and policymakers
from various countries to discuss the latest technological advancements and
support the shift towards the use of alternative and clean transportation. It
aims to facilitate the exchange of expertise and knowledge, as well as the
establishment of strategic partnerships, accelerating the transition to
sustainable transportation in Egypt and the region.
The summit is expected to serve
as a platform for government agencies, research and development institutions to
present their visions and discuss the challenges of transitioning to electric
vehicles. Participants include experts from leading international, regional,
and local companies in the sector, as well as charging service providers and
the Syndicate of Engineers, the strategic sponsor of the summit, representing
countries such as Egypt, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, and
Taiwan.
The summit includes interactive
exhibitions, training workshops, and lectures covering a wide range of aspects
of the electric vehicle industry, such as battery technology, charging
infrastructure, maintenance centers, smart transportation, financial and payment
service providers, smart delivery applications, and light electric vehicles
like golf carts and bicycles.
The summit will offer visitors a
unique opportunity to experience the latest electric vehicles and learn about
their advantages and performance, including unique models like Avatar, Xiaomi,
Tesla, BMW, Mercedes, BYD, Hammer, Renault, and Willing, as well as the first
electric boat from X Shore and Marine Tech companies.
