Housing Minister urges faster delivery of homes in New Alamein

Engineer Sherif El-Sherbini, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, inspected the progress of housing, service, and recreational projects in New Alamein City.

The Minister underscored that New Alamein City offers a diverse range of housing options to cater to all socioeconomic groups. The city's comprehensive amenities ensure a high standard of living for both residents and visitors. Its prime location on the Mediterranean coast makes it a popular destination for both domestic and international tourism, as well as a suitable year-round residence.

El-Sherbini confirmed that the handover of residential units in several projects, including Sakan Misr, Distinguished Housing, Downtown, Beach Towers, Latin Quarter, and Mazareen Compound, is currently underway. He highlighted the accelerated pace of construction in all residential projects within the city to expedite unit delivery and ensure the availability of essential services for residents.

The Minister noted that the final touches are being put on 15 towers in the beach area, while construction is ongoing for several other towers. In some of these 8 towers, both internal and external finishing works are underway.

The commercial recreational area, centrally located amidst the beach towers and offering direct sea views, has already opened its doors. This area features numerous commercial shops and a spacious parking garage capable of accommodating thousands of vehicles.

El-Sherbini added, "New Alamein City boasts another prominent towers project, the Downtown Towers, developed by the Chinese company CSCEC. This project mirrors the Central Business District towers in the New Administrative Capital. The centerpiece is an iconic tower reaching 250 meters (68 floors), surrounded by four additional towers at 200 meters (56 floors) each."

He continued, “Construction is also progressing on the Alamein Lakes 'Crystal Lagoon,' a captivating feature nestled within the Downtown Towers area. This lagoon features several islands and offers a variety of recreational and commercial activities to cater to the city's residents and visitors. The surrounding tourist promenade will rival similar projects globally.”

The Minister highlighted the ongoing construction of residential units within the presidential initiative 'Housing for All Egyptians,' as well as the 'Mazareen Compound.' This 700-acre compound, situated on the southern shore of the Alamein Lakes and overlooking the beach towers, offers a variety of villa, chalet, and apartment options. The Boulevard Road, one of the city's major thoroughfares, and the Downtown area, featuring residential units with premium finishes, intersect the compound.

The Latin Quarter, another development spanning 404 acres, comprises six distinct areas. These areas include thousands of residential units, premium service areas, ample parking, and numerous gardens.

He also drew attention to the Heritage City project, a 260-acre development encompassing approximately 70 facilities. These facilities include a main lake, main square, commercial squares, exhibition ground, mosque, church, Roman theater, conference hall, commercial and hotel buildings, old town, and cinema complex. Several of these facilities are already completed and operational.
