Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, has inspected the irrigation and drainage systems in the New Administrative Capital. The minister oversaw projects for new water reservoirs, a water pump, and two new 3400mm diameter sewage lines.
El-Sherbiny emphasized the
importance of continued field visits to projects and regular monitoring of
ongoing work to expedite progress and overcome any obstacles.

Abdel-Razek, the head of the New Administrative Capital City Authority,
explained that the authority's facilities management team has inspected
concrete casting works for the water reservoir and pump project in the R8 area,
which has been assigned to a specialized company.
He noted that the installation of
two 3400mm diameter twin main sewage lines for the New Administrative Capital
is underway. These lines connect the city's sewage network to the main
treatment plant, with a total length of 18,350 meters. The project also
includes the construction of two culverts under the Cairo/Suez Road and the Umm
Qamar Road, as well as a culvert under the petroleum pipelines.
Abdel-Razek stressed that the
companies executing the projects and the consulting office supervising the work
have been urged to expedite the completion of the work according to the
approved schedule and standard specifications.
Furthermore, Abdel-Razek
conducted an inspection tour to follow up on the progress of landscaping and
green spaces in the third residential district, R3, in neighborhoods D7 and D4.
The head of the New Administrative Capital City Development Authority added that the planting of various trees in all areas of the third residential district is nearing completion to enhance the district's aesthetic appeal. He noted that this step is part of the authority's plan to present the best visual image for the residential and service facilities in the city, aiming to give the city a beautiful and civilized appearance befitting its status among new cities.
