President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has witnessed, Sunday, the launch of a number of new projects in the field of communications and information technology. These included the state's main data center and cloud computing center, alongside the state's data exchange center.
During the ceremony, President Sisi and a number of officials
watched a documentary entitled "Digital Egypt", which showcased the
government's initiatives in information and communication technology, the
establishment of data centers, and support for digital transformation.
It is worth noting that the P1 data center and cloud
computing center is the first center to provide big data analysis and
processing services and artificial intelligence in Egypt and North Africa,
according to the latest global technologies.
P1 brings together over 15 local and international
companies, with a team of roughly 1,200 engineers and staff working to drive
this crucial initiative.
P1 goes beyond just data storage. It provides critical
applications, payment systems, and AI-powered big data analytics tools to
support informed decision-making at all government levels.
It serves as a robust alternative to the New Capital Data
Center, while also functioning as a unified national center for disaster
recovery data and promoting the adoption of AI technologies within the
government sector.
