Engineer Mohamed Shaker, Minister of Public Business Sector, inspected the Nasr Automotive Manufacturing Company Tuesday. The company is a subsidiary of the Holding Company for Metallurgical Industries, located in Wadi Hof, Helwan.
During his visit, the Minister met
with company executives to discuss the revival and development plans, including
production line updates, future targets, and asset utilization. He was joined
by Engineer Mohamed El-Saadawy, Executive Managing Director of the Holding
Company, and Dr. Khaled Shedeed, Managing Director of Nasr."
Engineer Shaker conducted a
comprehensive field inspection of the ongoing development projects at the
company. He assessed the progress of infrastructure rehabilitation, the
readiness of warehouses for new production lines, and the status of equipment
delivery. Additionally, he closely monitored the production process at the
commercial vehicles factory, evaluating recent advancements in infrastructure
modernization, equipment upgrades, and workforce development.
He emphasized the need to expedite progress on the ongoing projects to revive 'Nasr for Automobiles' and its distinguished trademark. This aligns with the national strategy of promoting domestic industry, reducing reliance on imports, and developing local automotive manufacturing capabilities. He stressed the need to maximize the local component in products, adhere to quality standards, develop a marketing plan, strengthen partnerships with the private sector, work to keep pace with global developments in the automotive industry, and make the most of assets and maximize their returns.
