Minister of Labor Mohamed Gobran visited ABB, a global leader in technology and energy solutions, in the Tenth of Ramadan City on Tuesday.
During his visit, the minister recognized the contributions of people of determination and company employees by presenting certificates of appreciation. He also inspected the company's production and assembly lines.
Gobran was welcomed by ABB's
Chairman of the Board of Directors Ahmed Hammad, Swedish Ambassador Hakan
Emsgard, Swiss Deputy Ambassador Peter Hafner, and local government officials.
They emphasized ABB's dedication to international labor standards, worker
safety, and continuous training to adapt to evolving industry trends.
ABB's management highlighted the
company's significant investment in Egypt, where they emphasized that it is a
company with Swiss-Swedish investment, with nearly 1,000 employees and 13
production lines. Since 1979, ABB has been manufacturing products locally and
exporting them to Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. The company adheres to
the international labor standards card for occupational safety and health.
The minister concluded his visit by emphasizing the importance of recognizing the contributions of people with determination, particularly on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. He also noted the significance of ABB's latest production line for medium-voltage products, which will primarily serve European Union markets.
