Walid Gamal El-Din, Chairman of the Suez Canal Economic Zone Authority, participated in a joint Polish-Egyptian economic cooperation committee meeting in Warsaw, Poland, on Thursday. He also attended a Polish-Egyptian business forum, highlighting investment opportunities within the Zone. Egypt is actively seeking to strengthen bilateral economic ties.
During a bilateral meeting with Krzysztof Paszyk, Polish Minister of Economic Development and Technology, Gamal El-Din discussed potential cooperation in industrial and service sectors within the Suez Canal Economic Zone, particularly in technology.
He participated in the inaugural
meeting of the joint Polish-Egyptian committee for economic cooperation
alongside Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of Planning and Economic Development
and International Cooperation. He emphasized the Suez Canal Economic Zone's
appeal as a prime destination for international investment, highlighting its
strategic location, advanced infrastructure, and focus on 21 key industrial and
service sectors. He stressed the zone's commitment to sustainable development,
including its efforts to become a center for green fuel production. Gamal El-Din
also outlined the Zone's attractive investment incentives.
The Chairman held a meeting with Michał Gramatyka, Deputy Minister of Digital Affairs in Poland, to explore potential cooperation in digital technology and data centers. This aligns with the Suez Canal Economic Zone's strategy to meet the growing demand for cloud services and digital transformation. Gamal El-Din also met with several Polish companies interested in investing in the zone, including HYnfra and Tabor-Dębica.
