Minister of State for Military Production, Engineer Mohamed Salah El Din Mostafa, conducted an unannounced inspection of Heliopolis Chemical Industries (Factory 81). This facility plays a crucial role in supplying the armed forces with essential military products, including heavy ammunition.
He toured the production lines dedicated to manufacturing and assembling various military products, including ammunition, depth charges, and detonators. He also inspected the company's warehouses to assess the effectiveness of all storage procedures. This evaluation aims to ensure the continued safe and efficient operation of Factory 81.
During the tour, the Minister
inspected the formaldehyde production plant, a key ingredient in the
manufacturing of various products, including wood products, disinfectants,
paints, and plastics. He also oversaw the production lines for
urea-formaldehyde, hexamine, and solid fuel tablets, which cater to the demands
of the domestic market.
Furthermore, the Minister of
State for Military Production inspected the rubber factory. This facility
specializes in the production of protective masks and other essential rubber
products used in the manufacturing of a wide range of military and civilian
equipment.
During the visit, the Minister
also toured the resin and paint factories. These facilities produce a diverse
range of specialized paints that serve both the military and civilian sectors.
Notably, these paints are utilized in major national projects undertaken by the
state, including housing developments, urban communities, road construction,
and bridge building across the Republic.
It's important to highlight that the paints manufactured by Heliopolis Chemical Industries possess exceptional properties. These paints are designed to withstand demanding conditions, including underwater applications and exposure to various climatic extremes.
