Dr. Sameh Hefny, Minister of Civil Aviation, conducted an inspection tour of Cairo International Airport earlier today, visiting Terminals 2 and 3. The tour aimed to assess operational efficiency and passenger flow amidst increased air traffic due to the influx of tourists for the holiday season.
Accompanying the minister during the visit were Engineer Yahya Zakaria, Chairman of EgyptAir Holding Company, and Accountant Magdy Ishaq, Chairman of Cairo Airport Company, along with a number of airport officials.
During the tour, the minister
congratulated all employees at various work locations at the airport on the
occasion of the New Year 2025, wishing them a happy year full of success and
achievements. Hefny also commended airport staff for their efforts and
encouraged continued dedication to providing high-quality service to
passengers. He emphasized the airport's crucial role as Egypt's primary gateway
for international visitors.
The tour included inspections of
departure and arrival halls, check-in counters, passport control, and passenger
lounges. Hefny also inaugurated the newly modernized "Al-Maysan"
lounge, designed to enhance passenger comfort and experience.
The Minister stressed the importance of coordinated efforts among all airport stakeholders to ensure a seamless and positive travel experience for all passengers.
