Madbouly monitors New Sphinx City development plans

Prime Minister Dr. Moustafa Madbouly reviewed on Sunday the development plan for New Sphinx City.

During a meeting with Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny and Deputy Chairman of the New Urban Communities Authority for Planning and Projects Engineer Ahmed Moussa, the Prime Minister highlighted the diverse proposed uses within the city's strategic plan. These include agricultural, residential, industrial, investment, and logistical uses. This versatility is advantageous due to the city's proximity to key infrastructure, such as Sphinx International Airport, regional road networks, modern transportation networks and stations, and numerous tourism and industrial development projects.

The Minister of Housing presented a detailed strategic plan for New Sphinx City. This plan encompasses five sectors, covering an area exceeding 73,000 acres. The plan outlines diverse land uses, including residential urban areas, agricultural residential areas, industrial and logistical zones, regional service areas, and investment areas. The Minister noted that the general plan for several sectors has been approved, along with the associated development projects and activities across various fields.

El Sherbiny discussed the recent advancements pertaining to the regularization of land status within New Sphinx City, along with the measures undertaken to rectify the prevailing situation. Furthermore, he reviewed the status of infrastructure projects currently being implemented within New Sphinx City, including the rates of completion for road networks, water supply networks, electricity grids, and other essential utilities. These infrastructure developments are instrumental in facilitating the rapid development of the city.
