Housing Minister monitors progress of Accor Hotels in New Capital

Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, met with representatives of Accor, a leading global hotel management company. The meeting, attended by ministry officials, the New Urban Communities Authority, City Edge representatives, and hotel operators, focused on reviewing the progress of hotel construction and finishing work within the central business district of the New Administrative Capital. The Minister emphasized the importance of timely completion and high-quality finishes to ensure a successful hospitality offering.

The Minister reviewed the progress of the ongoing project, focusing on coordination, approvals, implementation, and furnishing plans. He emphasized the importance of adhering to the requirements of Accor, the owner of the Fairmont and Raffles hotel brands, to expedite work according to the established timelines. The Minister also identified the project's needs to ensure timely completion.

El-Sherbiny directed the team to adhere to all deadlines for completing ongoing work and to expedite approvals for unapproved models. He highlighted the crucial role of continuous coordination with Accor representatives on-site to facilitate communication with the project's implementing company.
