President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met today, Monday, with Major General Amir Sayed Ahmed, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Urban Planning, Lieutenant General Ahmed El-Shazly, Head of the Armed Forces Financial Affairs Authority, Major General Ahmed Al-Azzazi, Head of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority, and Colonel Pilot Bahaa El-Ghannam, Executive Director of Egypt’s Future Agency for Sustainable Development.
During a recent meeting, the President emphasized the importance of the 'Future of Egypt for Sustainable Development Apparatus' projects. These initiatives aim to enhance food security by providing high-quality agricultural products at affordable prices for citizens. Key objectives include achieving self-sufficiency in strategic commodities and exporting surplus produce.
Ambassador Mohamed el-Shennawy,
the official spokesperson for the Presidency, highlighted that the President
stressed the need for robust support mechanisms for these projects. This
includes optimising irrigation system, establishing silos for storing grains
and cereals, increasing the utilization of modern technology in land
reclamation, and developing agricultural mechanization systems.
He added that the President directed the provision of all necessary support to these projects, aligning them with the broader state plan to expand agricultural land and increase production. He also emphasized the crucial role of these projects in achieving comprehensive economic development, improving living standards, and enhancing the quality of life for citizens.
