Social responsibility in action: Talaat Moustafa backs children's hospital

Talaat Moustafa Group (TMG) has reaffirmed its strong commitment to social responsibility, with a particular focus on advancing healthcare in Egypt. This dedication is reflected in the Group's significant contributions to numerous medical institutions, including 57357 Children's Cancer Hospital, Ahl Masr Burns Hospital, the restoration of the National Cancer Institute, the Noor Hayat eye care campaign, and the Talaat Moustafa Charity Hospital in Alexandria.

Furthermore, Engineer Mohamed Atef, Deputy CEO of TMG, highlighted the Group's comprehensive support in developing the pediatric emergency department and establishing a blood transfusion and chemotherapy center for cancer patients at Ain Shams University Hospital. These initiatives underscore TMG's ongoing commitment to strengthening Egypt's healthcare sector.

Throughout its 55-year journey in urban development, Talaat Moustafa has consistently prioritized social responsibility as a cornerstone of its strategy. The Group firmly believes in its duty to serve society and play a vital role in the nation's progress.


During the inauguration of the newly renovated pediatric emergency department and the blood transfusion and chemotherapy center for cancer patients at Ain Shams University Hospital, several dignitaries were present. The event was presided over by Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Dr. Mohamed Diaa, President of Ain Shams University.

Attendees included Dr. Ali Mohamed Al-Anwar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of University Hospitals, Dr. Tarek Youssef, Executive Director of University Hospitals, Dr. Hanan Ibrahim, Head of the Department of Pediatrics, and Dr. Yasmine Gamal El-Din, Director General of Children's Hospital. Additionally, Dr. Mohamed Awad Tag El Din, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Health Affairs, and Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, graced the occasion.


Dr. Al-Anwar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of University Hospitals, emphasized that the pediatric emergency department has undergone a complete renovation, incorporating the latest medical technologies to meet international standards. This significant upgrade aims to enhance medical services for a greater number of patients from across the nation, particularly those from underprivileged backgrounds. It represents a substantial advancement in the provision of specialized medical care.

He explained that the development work encompasses a modern and integrated emergency department, outpatient clinics, an advanced pharmacy for medication and chemotherapy preparation, and a specialized center for blood transfusion and sample collection. He further noted that the number of emergency beds has been increased from 9 to 25, while the capacity of blood transfusion caravans has expanded from 12 to 45 beds, leading to an anticipated increase in annual beneficiaries from 36,000 to approximately 72,000 patients.

Dr. Yasmine Gamal El-Din acknowledged the significant contribution and invaluable support of TMG in the development of the pediatric emergency department. She highlighted that the development and equipment upgrades, amounting to approximately 250 million Egyptian pounds, will enable the hospital to provide services to nearly 300,000 children annually.


Dr. Tarek Youssef, Executive Director of Ain Shams University Hospitals, expressed sincere gratitude and appreciation to TMG for their effective contribution and exceptional support in advancing the pediatric emergency department.
