El-Sisi explores Concentrix growth plans in Egypt

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received, today Tuesday, Christopher Caldwell, CEO of Concentrix, the leading American company in the field of providing outsourcing, business and call center services.

Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, attended the meeting , as well as Engineer Ahmed Elzaher, CEO of the Information Technology Industry Development Authority at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, and Amr Sobhy, President of Concentrix Egypt.

Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy, the official spokesperson for the Presidency, stated that the President commended the company's expansion in Egypt, explaining that this expansion aligns with the state's keenness to enhance the infrastructure in the fields of communications and information technology.

He added that the state is enhancing digital skills through training programs for youth and offering investment incentives to attract global and local companies. This aligns with the "Digital Egypt" strategy to improve service quality and boost the outsourcing industry's competitiveness.

The spokesperson continued that the meeting reviewed the company's expansion plans in Egypt. This includes increasing employees across existing branches, creating new jobs, and establishing new branches in all governorates. These actions contribute to the state's goals of developing the communications sector, making Egypt a global digital services center, and expanding outsourcing service exports by attracting foreign companies to open specialized centers in Egypt.

He indicated that Concentrix CEO commended Egypt's progress in the ICT sector and its efforts in digital transformation. He highlighted the company's desire to leverage Egypt's infrastructure, digital talent, and conducive environment for the outsourcing industry.

Ambassador El-Shennawy, added that Concentrix's employee count in Egypt has surged from 150 in 2020 to 20,000 today, making it the largest outsourcing center in Africa and the Middle East. The company aims to further increase this number to 35,000 by 2028.
