Major General received Engineer Mokhtar Abdel Latif, Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI), Kenyan President William Ruto, and the high-level delegation accompanying him, along with Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and New Urban Communities.
This visit is part of the Arab Organization for Industrialization's efforts to strengthen partnerships and cooperation, and increase trade with fellow African nations.
During the meeting, they discussed enhanced cooperation,
focusing on leveraging the Arab Organization for Industrialization's (AOI)
capabilities to support Kenyan development projects and defence and security
industries. They also identified potential areas of manufacturing sector
collaboration.
In this regard, the AOI Chairman emphasized strengthening
cooperation with African countries, highlighting President El-Sisi's directives
to expand industrial and economic integration and open new export markets in
Africa.
He lauded the joint relations between the two countries and
the importance of continuing coordination and joint action to strengthen
cooperation ties by opening new areas for defence and security industries. He
highlighted the potential for expanding collaboration by exploring new areas
within the defense and security industries. He also noted the Arab Organization
for Industrialization's (AOI) interest in contributing to development projects
in Kenya, a Nile Basin country.
During a tour of the AOI's product exhibition, the Kenyan
President William Ruto expressed his admiration for the advanced manufacturing
techniques used in the AOI's diverse product line. He was particularly
impressed by the armored vehicles, troop carriers, firefighting vehicles, money
transport vehicles, ATM machines, mobile technology centers, and other modern
products on display.
He reiterated Kenya's commitment to strengthening its
partnership and cooperation with Egypt across all industrial and development
sectors. He expressed his pride in visiting the AOI, recognizing it as a
cornerstone of Egypt's industrial base. The President emphasized the importance
of coordinating efforts with the AOI to achieve integration and localize cutting-edge
manufacturing technologies in areas of mutual interest.
Ruto also expressed Kenya's deep appreciation for Egypt's pioneering role in Africa and its efforts to achieve development and prosperity for its people. He particularly highlighted Egypt's valuable contributions to advancing joint African action, especially in promoting intra-African trade and investment.
