On his MBC Egypt program "Al-Hekaya," media figure Amr Adib noted that The New York Times had highlighted businessman Hisham Talaat Moustafa's proposal for the reconstruction of Gaza, which Moustafa announced on "Al-Hekaya" several days prior.
Adib further stated that the American newspaper reported Egyptian real estate and hotel businessman Hisham Talaat Moustafa's appearance on a news program where he outlined a $20 billion proposal to build 200,000 housing units in Gaza.
Adib explained that the international community is awaiting the Egyptian alternative to the US proposal regarding the reconstruction of Gaza. He stressed that Egypt bears a great responsibility—material, political, and psychological—and has clearly expressed its solidarity with Gaza and the Palestinians.
