Ahmed Kouchouk, Minister of Finance, extended his sincere congratulations and appreciation to Engineer Ater Hanoura, Head of the Central Unit for Public-Private Partnership (PPP) at the Ministry of Finance, and the entire work team, for winning two international awards. These awards, from the WAPP World Association for PPP (United Nations) and the 9th International PPP Week, recognize the successful signing of the Egypt Projects Preparation Facility (EPPF) agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), which seeks to enhance private sector growth in Egyptian PPP projects.
The Minister stated on LinkedIn that the two awards are international recognition of the unit's unique initiative: establishing the Egypt Preparation Partnership Projects Fund (EPPF) under the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). This pioneering reform solution, developed by the unit, funds feasibility studies and engages experts for public-private partnership projects, aiming to boost infrastructure investment, create sustainable jobs, and attract development financing.
Kouchouk stressed that these awards demonstrate Egypt's progress in empowering the private sector in development and delivering world-class services to citizens. He expressed anticipation for further success in developing innovative financial tools for public-private partnerships, aligning with the country's economic growth strategy.
