Mr. Walid Gamal El-Din, Chairman of the General Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone, signed two contracts today at the Authority's headquarters in the New Administrative Capital for two new projects in the field of textile manufacturing, printing, and dyeing. These projects will be located in the Qantara West Industrial Zone, with total investments of $28 million and a total area of 100,000 square meters. The projects are expected to provide 800 direct job opportunities.
Project of Chinese "Changzhou Kingcasun Printing and Dyeing Co., Ltd.":
Specializes in the manufacture of textile yarns, textiles,
dyeing, printing, knitting, and design.
The project will be built on an area of 60,000 square
meters.
Total investments: $24.5 million (1.2 billion Egyptian
pounds).
Provides 500 direct job opportunities.
Export ratio: 100% of total production.
The contract was signed by Ms. Yimi Gao, the company's chairperson.
Project of Chinese "Shanghai Honor" for Home
Textiles:
In partnership with the Emirati company "Home Hub
Textile."
The project will be built on an area of 40,000 square
meters.
Total investments: $3.5 million (177 million Egyptian
pounds).
Provides 300 direct job opportunities.
Export ratio: 100% of total production.
The contract was signed by Mr. Ming Yang, the company’s
chairman.
Gamal El-Din explained that the signing of these two contracts raises the total number of signed projects in the Qantara West Industrial Zone to 14 projects, with total investments of $542.3 million within 20 months. He emphasized that the Qantara West Industrial Zone represents an important development achievement that contributes to providing thousands of job opportunities and boosting the national economy.
He also stressed that these projects reflect the Authority's commitment to attracting investments, localizing targeted industries, and providing a developed business environment, modern infrastructure, and integrated logistics services.
