Prime Minister Dr. Moustafa Madbouly convened a meeting to assess the cotton trading system, attended by Minister of Finance Ahmed Kouchouk, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Alaa El-Din Farouk, Minister of Public Business Sector Engineer Mohamed Shimi, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Engineer Hassan El-Khatib, and officials from relevant ministries.
At the meeting's outset, the Prime Minister emphasized the government's commitment to supporting farmers, particularly through the timely payment of cotton crop dues.
The meeting reviewed the cotton trading system's implementation,
reflecting the state's focus on supporting cotton farmers, enhancing crop
quality, and improving cleanliness standards," stated Counselor Mohamed
El-Homossany, the official spokesperson for the Presidency of the Council of
Ministers.
This contributes to the broader strategy of developing cotton gins to produce high-quality cotton, which will be used in manufacturing to maximize added value throughout the production chain.
