Dalia Khorshid, CEO and Managing Director of Beltone Holding, has been named among the most powerful CEOs in the Middle East for 2024 by Forbes Middle East. As the sole Egyptian woman on the list, Khorshid's selection underscores her exceptional contributions to the business world.
Forbes highlighted Khorshid's
impressive achievements since assuming the leadership of Beltone Holding in
2022. Under her guidance, the company has expanded into new business lines and
made strategic investments, including Beltone Capital NEPIT (NEPIT), an
agricultural investment platform, and Beltone Venture Capital.
The magazine also praised
Khorshid for doubling Beltone Holding's revenues and assets in a remarkably
short time. In the first quarter of 2024 alone, the company's operating
revenues soared by 812% to reach $27.7 million, while managed assets climbed by
56% to $612.5 million.
Prior to leading Beltone Holding,
Khorshid served as Egypt's Minister of Investment and founded and chaired both
Masar Financial Consultancy and Eagle Capital for Financial Investments. She
also held the position of Chairperson of the General Authority for Investment
and Free Zones.
The Forbes list of the most
powerful CEOs in the Middle East features 100 business leaders from 19
countries. Emiratis lead the ranking with 27 CEOs, followed by Egyptians with
21, and Saudis with 14, collectively comprising 62% of the total. The banking
sector dominates the list with 19 CEOs, followed by the real estate sector with
10. Selection criteria include the CEO's regional and national impact, market
oversight, experience in the current role, company size (revenue, assets,
market value), and past-year achievements and performance.
