Mercedes-Benz Egypt has announced a strategic partnership with the Shagrha Foundation to support a national environmental initiative focused on sustainable development. This collaboration aligns with Mercedes-Benz Egypt's commitment to environmental stewardship in Egypt.
As part of the partnership,
Mercedes-Benz Egypt will actively participate in the Shagrha Foundation's
"Fruitful Schools" and "Every Street" campaigns. The
partnership is expected to continue until the end of 2025.
With the launch of this
initiative, a team from Mercedes-Benz Egypt participated in planting the first
tree seeds, symbolizing their commitment to environmental sustainability. As
part of the partnership, the company will sponsor the planting of a fruit tree
for every car sold in the Egyptian market. Planting operations will take place
in various regions across Egypt, including Cairo, Giza, Aswan, Gharbia, and
Dakahlia.
The 'Fruitful Schools' and 'Every
Street' campaigns, affiliated with the 'Shagerha' initiative, aim to plant a
total of 180,000 trees by 2026.
This ambitious initiative aims to
increase green spaces in Egyptian cities and contribute to addressing
environmental issues, such as reducing carbon emissions. The project also includes
community engagement and awareness programs to promote sustainable practices
among citizens.
The partnership with the Shagrha Foundation aligns with Egypt's Vision 2030, which prioritizes sustainable urban development and environmental preservation. Mercedes-Benz Egypt is committed to reducing its environmental impact and supporting sustainability in the communities it serves.
