Dr. Sameh El-Hefny, Minister of Civil Aviation, convened a meeting with representatives from various hot air balloon companies at the headquarters of the ministry's general administration. Pilot Montasser Manna, Deputy Minister of Civil Aviation, and Pilot Amr El-Sharkawy, Head of the Civil Aviation Authority, were also in attendance.
The meeting discussed the current
operating systems and their impact on performance levels. It also reviewed all
the challenges and obstacles facing the hot air balloon activity by listening
to all opinions and proposals aimed at supporting and developing this activity
in light of the current challenges.
During the meeting, Dr. Sameh
El-Hefny, Minister of Civil Aviation, emphasized the importance of ongoing
collaboration and cooperation among all companies involved in the hot air balloon
industry. He underscored the need to stay abreast of current operational
practices and to implement mechanisms for continuous improvement, aligning with
the growing demand for this activity.
The Minister stressed the
necessity of unified efforts and the establishment of a standardized and more
efficient work framework for all companies operating in this sector. He also
emphasized the importance of strict adherence to all air safety and aviation
security standards, in line with international specifications applicable to the
industry.
In closing, the Minister of Civil
Aviation emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts to identify
effective and appropriate solutions that serve the public interest and ensure
the sustainable growth and development of the hot air balloon industry. He
highlighted the role of the Civil Aviation Authority in reviewing and
inspecting the implementation of safety procedures in accordance with
international standards, contributing to enhancing Egypt's global
competitiveness and attracting more inbound tourism.
The Minister reiterated the
commitment to ensuring the highest levels of safety and security, in compliance
with the laws and regulations of the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority.
In response, representatives from the hot air balloon companies expressed their gratitude for the Ministry of Civil Aviation's efforts in developing policies and solutions to create a more conducive work environment for all companies. They commended the close and productive collaboration with the Egyptian representative.
