Egypt's first-ever International Electric Mobility Summit kicked off yesterday Thursday, drawing a significant crowd of over 25,000 attendees. The three-day event, held at the Egypt International Exhibition Center, aims to promote sustainable transportation and foster Egypt's position as a regional leader in electric vehicle technology.
Government officials, industry
experts, and international delegates gathered to discuss strategies for
transitioning to electric mobility, attracting foreign investment, and
developing a local supply chain for electric vehicles. The summit also marked
the launch of the Egyptian-Arab Association for Smart Mobility and Electric
Vehicles.
The attendees included Dr. Ali Abu Senna, CEO of the Environmental Affairs Agency, Engineer Tareq Al-Nabrawy, President of the Engineers Syndicate, Major General Dr. Engineer Amr Abdel Aziz Abdullah, Head of the Qadir Factory of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, and Mohamed El-Saidi, Head of the organizing alliance of the summit, and with international participation from Mr. Khaled Al-Shemmeli, CEO of the Emirates Driving Scchool Company, and Hall Falls, Executive Vice President of TELEWIND Co., USA.
The summit is held under the auspices of the Egyptian Council of Ministers, with the support of the following ministries and agencies: Ministry of Trade and Industry, Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade, Arab Organization for Industrialization, General Authority for Investment and Free Zones, General Authority for Export and Import Control, National Authority for Administration and Investment, and Internal Trade Development Authority.
