Exchange rate of the US dollar in the black market Tuesday

The US dollar edged higher on the black market on Tuesday, April 30, 2024. The buying price reached EGP 48.00 and the selling price hit EGP 48.20.

This slight increase comes amid a rise in US dollar flows to Egyptian banks in recent months. This follows the Central Bank of Egypt's decision last month to liberalize the exchange rate, allowing it to be determined by the forces of supply and demand.
